With the continuous development of technology, virtual reality technology has gradually integrated into our daily lives. In the field of emergency rescue, virtual reality technology also has broad application prospects. Recently, 40 full-time mine rescue team members from Guangdong Province were participating in a 14-day refresher training at the Jiangxi Mine Rescue Corps. Dr. Li Bo, our company's virtual reality technology expert, was invited to give VR simulation rescue training to the rescue personnel.
This training activity was divided into two parts: theoretical teaching and demonstration operation. In the theoretical teaching session, Dr. Li elaborated on VR technology basic knowledge, VR applications and future development trends of VR, and focused on explaining application cases such as the intelligent mine VR emergency drill system, mine disaster accident VR experience system, VR + industrial manufacturing, and metaverse + emergency rescue training in view of the characteristics of the emergency rescue field. Using virtual reality technology to simulate disaster scenes for rescue training can not only familiarize rescue personnel with various complex rescue environments and improve rescue skills, but also conduct targeted simulations of different environments and emergencies, effective planned training, optimize rescue plans and improve rescue efficiency.
In the demonstration operation session, trainees actively experienced the emergency rescue equipment MR training system and the VR high-rise fire escape drill system.
The emergency rescue equipment MR training system comprehensively displays the component composition, daily inspection and operation steps of emergency equipment through mixed reality technology, enabling trainees to conduct emergency rescue training in a virtual environment. Through this system, trainees can learn how to correctly use fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, gas masks, defibrillators, etc. The VR high-rise fire escape drill system simulates emergency situations of high-rise building fires, allowing trainees to experience the process of fire escape and firefighting rescue without risk, effectively improving trainees' adaptability, psychological endurance and comprehensive professional abilities in special environments.
Through this experience activity, trainees not only gained a deeper understanding of emergency rescue equipment, but also improved their emergency response levels. At the same time, with the assistance of VR technology, trainees are also full of expectations for the future development of the emergency rescue field.
This lecture broke the traditional theoretical teaching model and introduced systematic practical operation sessions of VR + emergency rescue, allowing trainees to gain a deeper understanding of the practical application and operation processes of emergency rescue skills, enriching emergency rescue training methods and helping upgrade emergency rescue training with technology. In future work, Nikola Technology will continue to explore and innovate new training models and methods of VR + emergency rescue, contributing to the emergency rescue cause.
